Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale has joined in on the Ballon d’Or conversation. He recently revealed that his choice for the award is the favourite by some distance.
Speaking during an interview, Bale said that PSG superstar Ousmane Dembele will most likely win the plaque after the terrific season he just had.

According to him, apart from the fact that the Frenchman had an amazing campaign individually, PSG winning so many trophies will surely swing a lot of votes in his favour.
“Yes, I think so. I think you also have to look what the teams have won.
I think everyone obviously talks about individuals, but I think if you are winning those trophies as well, you’re winning the Champions league, obviously they’ve won their domestic treble,” he said.
He further noted that if PSG should win the Club World Cup as well, then Dembele would be the clear favourites for the award.
He concluded by saying that individual and team brilliance will always be the main recipe for winning the best awards.
“If they win again the Club World Cup, it’s hard to see anyone else from the season he’s had and he’s transformed them into trophies as well as the season he’s had. It does make him the front runner by some way in my opinion,” he said.
