Popular rapper MI Abaga has said that marrying late made him sad. He recently revealed that it took him a while to be emotionally ready for marriage.
Speaking on the Jay On Air Podcast, the veteran rapper revealed that he began to realize that he had to settle down at 37.

According to him, watching his peers and family members raise teenagers when he was still a bachelor made it obvious that he needed his own family too.
He stated that Jesse Jagz’s 21-year-old child was more than a reminder that time was ticking for him to build his own family.
“I started to feel a little bad at 37. My friends who got married at 25 or 26 now have 14-year-old kids. Some have children heading to college.
Even those who didn’t marry early still had kids. My brother Jesse, for example, has a 21-year-old child. Meanwhile, I had none at that time,” he said.
The lyricist, however, maintained that he is grateful for eventually finding the right partner at the right time.
MI Abaga concluded by saying that his wife attended his 40th birthday ceremony, and he was finally ready to build a home.
“I met my wife shortly after I turned 39. She was there for my 40th birthday. I was finally ready. I proposed, and we got married when I was 41.
I feel sadness when I think about my past. I met some truly kind and supportive women, but I wasn’t ready. I was stubborn and immature,” he added.
