Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has penned a heartfelt message to Luis Diaz following his €75 million (£65m) move to Bayern Munich. He recently hailed the Colombian’s passion and resilience throughout his stint in England.
Reacting via his social media page, Salah described Diaz as an inspiration on and off the pitch.

According to him, Liverpool Football Club was lucky to have the South American at the club, and having him as a reliable teammate for many years was a massive honour.
“Your energy, drive, and passion on the pitch have left a mark that won’t be forgotten. We were truly lucky to have you at Liverpool, and it’s been an honour to share part of your journey and success story.
As a teammate, you were more than reliable — you were inspiring. As a friend, even more so,” he wrote.
Hailing Diaz for his strength during his father’s kidnap, Salah stressed that what he went through would have easily broken others.
The clinical Egyptian concluded by wishing Luis Diaz all the best at his new club and in his future endeavours.
“We all saw the strength it took to keep going through the tough times off the pitch. What you went through would’ve broken most, but you came back strong and gave everything for the club. That kind of resilience sets an example for others and earns nothing but respect.
Wishing you all the best for what’s next, Lucho. Keep making your people proud,” he added.
