The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the South East has described its recent by-election victories in Anambra State as proof that the party remains firmly rooted in the state.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the party’s National Vice Chairman, Augustine Ehiemere, following the victory of Senator-elect Emma Nwachukwu and House of Assembly member-elect, Mrs Azikiwe Mimi Ify.
Ehiemere said the outcome of the election serves as a clear pointer that APGA is not only strong in Anambra but also well-prepared for the forthcoming governorship election.

According to him, the overwhelming support given to APGA candidates was a reflection of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s performance in office.
He expressed confidence that the same level of support would guarantee Soludo’s re-election when Anambra goes to the polls.
“The by-election has further confirmed that Governor Chukwuma Soludo will coast home to victory, relying on the massive support he enjoys from Anambra people,” Ehiemere stated.
He maintained that the governor’s delivery on his campaign promises accounted for the confidence reposed in APGA by the electorate.
The APGA leader also commended the party’s National Chairman, Sly Ezeonwuka, for what he described as effective and quality leadership that, according to him, played a decisive role in the party’s latest electoral triumph.
