The All Progressives Congress, APC, has described the death of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, as a colossal loss to the party.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.
According to Morka, the late Mama Lydia Yilwatda was a humble, virtuous and compassionate woman, widely respected for her generosity and selfless service to her family, church and community.

“We received with shock and sadness the news of the passing of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of our National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda,” the statement read.
“She was a devout Christian and leader whose contributions to the growth of her church, the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), were immeasurable.
Mama’s death is a colossal loss not only to her family and community but also to the entire APC family.”
Morka extended the party’s condolences to the Yilwatda family, the COCIN church, the people of Plateau State, and all who were touched by her life of service.
He prayed for the repose of her soul and strength for the family to bear the loss.
