Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has said that he is really missing Alexander Isak. He recently revealed that he still has hope that the club’s best player will be back this season.
Speaking to the press, Bruno shared that he has not had any form of contact with the Sweden international amid his transfer saga.

According to him, it is a very tough situation for Newcastle players because the team clearly needs its best players to guarantee maximum results after every match.
Insisting that the saga has gone on for far too long, the midfielder stated that he hopes it’ll be resolved very soon.
His words, “I haven’t had any contact with him. We’ve been training in the mornings, and he trains at a different time, when no one from the team is around. As captain, and for us as players, it’s a tough situation because we want to have the best players with us.
But that’s something we can’t control; the club, the management, the owners are dealing with it, and I hope it gets sorted out in the best way,” he said.
Guimaraes further noted that the club definitely missed having Isak up front against Liverpool at St. James’ Park.
He concluded by saying that feeling the absence of a player who netted 20 EPL goals last season is expected.
“We’re really missing our striker, a player who scored more than 20 goals in the Premier League last season, so of course he’s someone we feel the absence of.
We hope to have our best player back, but unfortunately, this is a situation that neither I nor any other player can control,” he added.
