Muhammad Garba, spokesman for former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has rejected fresh allegations of corruption levelled against his principal, describing them as politically motivated.
Garba, a former Commissioner for Information in Kano State, issued a statement on Monday stressing that Ganduje governed the state with accountability, transparency, and left behind legacies that continue to benefit residents.
According to him, the Kano State Government has made deliberate attempts to associate Ganduje with financial mismanagement, land grabbing, and overspending through the Protocol Directorate, allegations he insisted were baseless.

“Governor Ganduje’s record reflects decades of service to Kano State. These narratives are acts of misinformation aimed at distracting the public from real governance issues,” Garba stated.
He explained that all activities undertaken by the directorate were administrative, lawful, and carried out within state-approved budgets, adding that claims to the contrary were distortions designed to smear the former governor’s reputation.
Highlighting Ganduje’s achievements, Garba said his administration prioritised development and responsible management of state resources, with projects and programmes that remain visible across the state.
The spokesman further urged members of the public, the media, and political stakeholders to refrain from using Ganduje’s name for propaganda purposes or political attacks.
“If there are genuine concerns, there are proper legal channels to address them. Dragging a former leader’s name into these narratives is unjust,” he added.
