Right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk has said that he hopes Taylor Swift’s engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce will make her more conservative. He recently urged the singer to submit to her husband when they become man and wife.
Congratulating the singer while speaking on Real America’s Voice network, the MAGA mouthpiece shared that he expects Taylor to be more in touch with reality as a married woman.
According to him, the singer should try as much as possible to fight the urge to continue being a feminist when she eventually settles down.
He stated that Taylor Swift having a husband might be the reality check she needs to know that she is not in charge.
“This is something that I hope will make Taylor Swift more conservative. Engage in reality more… Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge,” he said.
Charlie further noted that marrying Travis, who previously said that having Trump attend the Super Bowl was an honour, would most likely de-radicalize Swift.
He concluded by saying that Taylor Swift is not a good role model for young women because she put her career first and avoided marriage for so long.
“Swift might go from a cat lady to a JD Vance supporter… and I think we should celebrate that.
She should have more children than she has houses. Up until this point, that’s not a great role model for young women to wait all the way until you’re 35 and just put your career first,” he added.
