Bosede Idehen International Academy, in collaboration with Springfield Private School, joined millions of Nigerians to celebrate the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary. They marked the milestone with a memorable and colourful celebration themed “Unity in Cultural Diversity.”
The gathering was a stunning showcase of the country’s rich cultural heritage, as kids and employees dazzled with their traditional outfits, performed cultural dances, and flaunted the beauty of Nigeria‘s diverse traditions.

A moment that particularly captured the attention of guests was the exhibition and tasting of local dishes from Nigeria’s major ethnic groups, further emphasising the country’s culinary wealth.
The school community preached unity by coming together to cut the Independence cake, as students were treated to tasty ice cream and memorable fun activities.
The school management emphasised the importance of teaching the kids the values of peace, unity, and respect for cultural differences, warning that such values will go a long way towards building a more united Nigeria.

The Independence Day celebration was not just a fun event at Springfield Private School and Bosede Idehen International Academy; it served as a reminder of the country’s biggest strength — her diversity.
As both schools proudly celebrate Nigeria at 65, the message is clear: despite the fact that Nigerians are diverse in tribes, languages, and traditions, we are still one united people.
