The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has affirmed Hon. Shehu Hussaini, popularly known as Wazirin Kucheri, as the authentic chairman of the Action Alliance (AA) in Zamfara State.
The confirmation brings to an end a protracted leadership tussle within the party that lasted for more than a year.
Speaking in Gusau on Thursday, Hussaini said the electoral commission’s decision was in line with a court ruling that recognised the executives led by the party’s national chairman, Barr. Adekunle Omaje.
Observers noted that the development marks a resolution of the internal division that had weakened the AA’s structure in Zamfara State.
