Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde has admitted that the team committed multiple errors against Sevilla. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he and his teammates did a lot of things wrong in the match, and the team’s defensive strategy was effectively exploited by the opposition.
Balde added that while schedule and weather made the game complicated, those are not excuses for Barcelona.
His words, “We did a lot of things wrong. In the second half, we could have scored goals, but we have a lot to learn. It was a complicated match — the schedule, the weather… but those aren’t excuses. We played a bad game and have a lot to improve… These are phases of the season; there are things to adjust. We had the penalty and other clear chances, but that will serve us for the future.”
On Sanchez’s penalty, “I think it wasn’t a penalty for me, and it was also a foul on Jules, but we have to improve.”
