The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Debo Ologunagba, has confirmed that former President Goodluck Jonathan remains a bona fide member of the party.
Ologunagba made this clarification on Thursday during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme.
According to him, Jonathan has neither resigned from the PDP nor been expelled, hence he remains a full member.
“Goodluck Jonathan is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party. He has not resigned,” Ologunagba said.
“There are two ways to leave a party — either you resign or you are removed. But till date, Jonathan has done neither,” he added.
The PDP spokesman further disclosed that the party expects the former president to attend its upcoming national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
