Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has declared that President Bola Tinubu does not need to campaign in Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections, boasting that there is no opposition in the state.
Bello made the remark on Saturday during an endorsement rally held in support of President Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, for a second term in office.
According to Bello, the All Progressives Congress, APC, remains firmly in control of the state and will deliver a landslide victory for Tinubu in 2027.

“President Tinubu, you don’t even need to come to Kogi State to campaign in 2027,” Bello said.
“There is no opposition in Kogi State. Those who are making noise somewhere have not seen the lion. When the lion roars, they will run with their tails.”
The former governor described Tinubu as a visionary leader capable of uniting Nigerians, adding that Kogi State remains committed to his administration.
“Every great nation must have a leader that everybody gravitates towards, and Tinubu, you are that leader. We will stand by you even after you leave office,” he added.
Bello also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his developmental strides in Kogi, particularly in infrastructure, appointments, and security.
“We thank the President for all the good things he has done for us in Kogi State — infrastructural projects, appointments, fighting insecurity, and ensuring financial stability.
Your son, Ododo, is doing excellently well, and under the APC, we shall get to the promised land,” Bello said.
