Popular rapper A$AP Rocky has hailed his partner Rihanna for inspiring him to win the CFDA Fashion Icon Award. He recently appreciated Riri for her support over the years while celebrating his major career moment.
Accepting the recognition on stage, he took a moment to remind Rihanna of a promise he once made.
According to him, he once told his woman how her life inspires him to earn lots of recognition career-wise, so he is proud to be delivering on the heartfelt promise years later.
“Baby girl, I love you, boo,” he said.
He recalled telling her years ago, “Yo, you inspire me. Ima win that s— one day. Every award, remember that s—? And look — we did it, baby!”
The special moment was also a date night for the couple, who walked the red carpet at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
Rihanna kept her appearance elegant in a floor-length black Alaïa trench cinched at the waist, a black turtleneck and draped white pants tucked into heels, describing her outfit as a “postpartum-forward look.”
Recall that Rocky recently sparked fresh marriage speculation during an interview published Oct. 29.
Speaking to the host, he described life at home as being “a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family.”
His comment immediately fueled assumptions online, especially after an identical hint in September, when he teased about his relationship status by asking, “How you know I’m not already a husband?”
