BBNaija Season 10 winner, Imisi Ayanwale, has said that she has not abandoned her mother. She recently reacted to public outcry after a viral video showed her mum tearfully accusing her of neglect.
In the viral video, Imisi‘s mother appeared visibly distressed, claiming that her daughter had abandoned her since winning the reality show months ago.
She emphasised that despite supporting Imisi throughout her journey to victory, all she got was heartbreak and neglect in return.
The emotional video sparked widespread criticism online, with several fans accusing the reality star of abandoning her family after attaining fame.
Reacting during a live TikTok session, Imisi simply denied the allegations, insisting that she has been responsible for her mother’s welfare and also supports other members of her family.
She concluded by urging Nigerians not to jump to conclusions, stressing that her relationship with her mother is fine.
Recall that Imisi recently said that she is tired of being asked about her plans for her cash prize.
She revealed that getting asked the same question repeatedly has been very exhausting.
According to her, she already confirmed that she plans to seek financial advice before touching her cash prize, but the media is hell bent on making her repeat herself.
“Now that you have won the money, what is next for you, what should we expect from you, what do you want to do with the money and so on,” she added.
