A reconciliation between Ayo Adebanjo and Reuben Fasoranti has been called for by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and other notable leaders in Yoruba nation.
Makinde revealed this at a gathering of the pan-Yoruba culture organisation Afenifere.
The meeting took place on Tuesday in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, according to Infostride News.

According to our correspondent, Adebanjo and Fasoranti were at odds about who should lead the group.
Over the course of several years, the two leaders have sparred over who should be considered the group’s real head honcho.
Makinde, however, has come clean about his and other notable Yoruba land figures’ decision to ease the tension between the two leaders.
During his speech, Makinde announced that he and other prominent Afenifere members had reached an agreement to end the conflict between the organization’s two heads.
He said that the moment has come to start working towards greater harmony in Yoruba territory.
When asked about the tensions between Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Pa Reuben Fasoranti, Makinde responded, “We are all aware of the issues between our two Afenifere leaders.”
Politics and elections are old news, and now we’re discussing how to bring the Yoruba people together. Therefore, these prominent figures agreed it was time to meet and launch efforts towards greater harmony in Yorubaland.
With the union of our two Babas, we may finally achieve the long-sought peace in Nigeria. Put another way, when Yorubaland is together, Nigeria is united, and vice versa, problems in Yorubaland tend to spread across the rest of Nigeria.
