The Accord Party has expressed readiness to welcome Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, into its fold following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, amid prolonged leadership crises.
The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Accord Party, Dele Oladeji, said this on Wednesday in Lagos, noting that the party would be happy to serve as Adeleke’s platform for his 2026 re-election bid.

Adeleke, who is seeking a second term in the 2026 off-cycle governorship election, is reportedly considering a more stable political structure ahead of the poll.
Oladeji described Accord as the most viable and organised option for the Osun governor.
“We are waiting for his declaration. That is what we can say for now. We are waiting for when he will declare for the Accord. In the Accord Party, we are ready for him. Whenever he decides to step in, we are set to receive him,” he said.
He added that Accord had no internal crises, factional divides or godfather interference—qualities he said made the party an attractive destination for any serious political contender.
“Accord is a very stable and sanitised political platform. We have no factions and no godfathers. Any candidate who joins us between now and 2027 is sure of a peaceful and dependable structure,” he said.
Oladeji maintained that Accord remains “the best political platform for any serious politician seeking office,” assuring that the party would work with Adeleke and support his success if he chooses to join.
