Trump Deserves Praise For Fulfilling His Promise To Nigeria – Okon Lagos

Nollywood actor Okon Lagos has commended US President Donald Trump for coming through with his promise to attack terrorists carrying out Christian Genocide in Nigeria. Recall that on October 31, 2025, President Trump redesignated Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” over reports of genocide against Christians.

True to his promise, on Christmas day December 25, the US government carried out bomb attacks on “ISIS camps” in NorthWest Nigeria.

Reacting, the moviestar revealed that Trump deserves praise for delivering on his vow to end Christian Genocide across the nation.

The term continues to be used in the media to refer to the Nigerian film industry, with its definition later assumed to be a portmanteau of the words “Nigeria” and “Hollywood”, the American major film hub.

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
