Former Bournemouth winger Marc Pugh has backed Eddie Howe to take over from under-fire head coach Michael Carrick at Manchester United. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Howe definitely possesses the ideal profile to revive the Red Devils should the hierarchy dismiss Carrick in the coming weeks.

Pugh added that he expects the demanding English coach to immediately raise standards behind the scenes.
His words, “If I was Eddie, I’d jump at the chance, but to be honest, I think United need someone like Eddie.
The intensity level in training will go up a notch. He won’t stand for people sacking training off.
I’m not saying Michael does. I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes at Old Trafford, at United, but he will make sure people that are playing on a Saturday and Tuesday, whenever it may be, that they are going to run and he plays high-press, high-intensity football.
There will be no messing about, that’s for sure, but he’s fantastic tactically, technically, he cares about his players and I think they can do a lot worse than Eddie, that’s for sure.
I think jobs like that don’t come around often and it’s one of the best clubs in the world. You’ve got to jump at the chance in my eyes.”
