Buba Galadima, a close ally of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State of working behind the scenes against the former governor.
Speaking in an interview with DCL Hausa, Galadima alleged that a document currently before the Presidency is aimed at preventing Kwankwaso from entering Kano.
“There is a paper before the Presidential Villa, and from what we are hearing, it is meant to prevent Kwankwaso from coming to Kano,” he said.

Galadima argued that any attempt to stop the former governor from visiting his home state would be politically motivated and contrary to democratic principles.
“They are trying to stop him from coming to his own state for political reasons,” he added.
He said they are awaiting the Presidency’s response, claiming the move appears similar to past attempts to frustrate Kwankwaso.
On reports from the United States recommending sanctions against certain Nigerians, including Kwankwaso, Galadima said the development did not come as a surprise.
“To us, this is not surprising. Although this was not exactly what we expected, there have been many rumours,” he stated.
Galadima further alleged that pressure had previously been mounted on Kwankwaso to defect to the APC.
“From the time Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was told he must join the APC, many people, including his friends and associates, warned him that if he refused, unpleasant things would be arranged against him,” he claimed.
He disclosed that some close associates had advised Kwankwaso to switch parties to avoid political trouble, citing what he described as serious threats.
However, Galadima maintained that Kwankwaso is not intimidated and would not defect unless certain conditions he has presented in the interest of the people are met.
“Kwankwaso is not scared. He has made it clear that he will not move to another party unless the conditions he set for the good of the people are fulfilled,” he said.
