Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has assured young people in the state of his administration’s continued support to enhance economic growth and development.
The governor gave the assurance on Friday when members of the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) paid him a courtesy visit at his office.

Yusuf said his government is committed to creating more opportunities for youths, noting that meaningful development cannot be achieved without their active participation.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, the governor described the year as one dedicated to youth development.
He stated that his administration is focused on empowering young people and giving them a stronger voice in governance.
“That is why our administration keeps empowering youths and giving them opportunities through government appointments,” Yusuf said.
He disclosed that about 40 per cent of political appointments in the state have been allocated to young people, including positions such as commissioners, directors-general and managing directors.
The governor added that involving youths in leadership and decision-making processes would help move the state forward and strengthen its economy.
Earlier, the APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, commended the governor for supporting the hosting of the Youth Progressive Summit at the Kano Government House.
Israel described Yusuf as a leader committed to youth-driven development and pledged the continued support of the party’s youth wing for programmes and policies aimed at improving the lives of young people in the state.
