Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has come out to clarify the fitness status of Lisandro Martinez. This comes after the defensive kingpin was a shock omission from the squad that travelled to face Everton on Monday night.
According to him, Lisandro picked up a small injury during the week, but it will most likely not keep him out for long.
Carrick added that Yoro earned the right to replace the Argentine after his superb performance against West Ham.
His words, “Yeah, unfortunately he just picked up something during the week. It doesn’t seem too bad at all, but we’re just kind of working through that at the moment, so he’s not available tonight. He’s obviously done well Licha [Martinez], for us, and it’s disappointing. But Leny [Yoro] came in and did particularly well at West Ham so Leny comes in and we’ll try and move forward.”

The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
