Chelsea forward Estevao Willian has revealed the reasoning behind his decision to snub Manchester United. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Chelsea stood out to him because of the club’s focus on youth development, so he chose Stamford Bridge as the place where he can secure crucial regular playing time crucial for his growth in the top flight of English football.

Estevao added that the long-term project offered by Chelsea serves as the best stepping stone to fulfil his ambition of reaching Neymar’s level.
His words, “My family went to other clubs, but what caught my attention was Chelsea. The project with Chelsea was different because it’s a team that, how can I say, gives you more opportunities to be in the game. I thought Chelsea would be the perfect future for me because it would get me more minutes.
I want to be amongst the best players in the world. I know my potential and what I can offer to Chelsea and, of course, to be amongst the best players in the world.
Neymar inspires my style of play. You’ll see if I can achieve that [level].”
WOW.

The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
