The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged its members to set aside personal interests and work collectively for the overall good of the party.
The call was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the Expanded Emergency Meeting of the party’s PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) on Wednesday.
In the communiqué, the BoT acknowledged what it described as the continued support, loyalty and solidarity of Nigerians towards the PDP, citing the ongoing nationwide e-registration of members.

According to the board, reports from across the country indicate that millions of people are registering with the party daily.
The BoT noted that the surge in membership, despite the challenges facing the party, reflects the PDP’s standing as a preferred political platform for many Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We call on all leaders and members of our party to jettison all personal and group interests and come together as one family in the overall interest of our party and the wellbeing of millions of Nigerians whose hopes are anchored on the PDP,” the communiqué stated.
The BoT also commended the efforts of Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for what it described as their commitment and steadfastness toward the party and the wellbeing of Nigerians.
