Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has told the club to make Michael Carrick a permanent MUFC manager. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Carrick’s calm presence and personality were also going to be the key to better results this season, so he is not surprised by how well he has done thus far.
Rooney added that the togetherness shown under his former teammate’s management cannot be disrupted ahead of the next campaign.
His words, “One hundred per cent he should [get the job]. I have said this. I knew this was going to happen with Michael Carrick. I know him very well. I know his character, his personality. It needed a calm head, but someone who knows the place and the players needed some love, and he has given them that.
We have seen the players play with more quality, more together as a team, and they look like a very strong team. For me, why would you change? He has got the best winning percentage of any Manchester United manager after that many games. For me, he has to get the job.”

That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
