The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed claims by the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, that it is no longer a political party.
The PDP, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Ini Ememobong, described Morka’s comment as “most unfortunate” and indicative of what it termed a delusional mindset.

InfoStride News had earlier reported that Morka claimed the PDP had ceased to function as a political party due to the defection of some political office holders to the APC.
Reacting, Ememobong said that despite the defections, Nigerians had continued to reject the ruling party.
“Interestingly, reality shows that despite the large-scale defections secured by force and inducement by the APC, Nigerians have consistently rejected the ruling party which is daily ruining Nigeria and Nigerians,” he said.
He further alleged irregularities in the APC’s membership registration process, claiming that in some states, governors copied databases from empowerment programmes to populate party registers.
Ememobong also cited the disruption of a recent political event in Owerri as an indication of growing dissatisfaction with the ruling party.
“The recent disruption of the City Boys event in Owerri is a foreshadow of what awaits them all over the country,” he added.
The PDP spokesman also accused Morka of engaging in propaganda, warning of its potential consequences.
“For Morka, who is struggling to become a modern-day Joseph Goebbels, he should remember that delusional propaganda does not just destroy a nation but ultimately consumes its proponents,” Ememobong stated.
He added that Morka’s defence of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was misplaced, insisting that Nigerians were increasingly dissatisfied with the APC-led government.
