The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Saturday met with former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku, who is among key figures aspiring for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general election, disclosed the meeting in a post on his Facebook page.
Although details of the meeting were not made public, Atiku said both leaders held extensive discussions on the state of the nation.

“This evening, I received the former Governor of Kano State and the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on a courtesy visit.
“We had a robust discussion on the state of the nation,” he wrote.
The development comes amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, as opposition figures strategise to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kwankwaso is also rumoured to be considering a possible defection to the ADC ahead of its primary election.
