The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the schedule of major activities for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.
According to the scheme, the 21-day orientation exercise will be conducted simultaneously across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation course will commence with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and end at midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The statement further disclosed that prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II service year will be sworn in on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The orientation course is expected to conclude on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The NYSC management wished all Nigerian graduates deployed for the service year safe travels to their respective orientation camps nationwide, while reiterating its warning against night journeys.
“Prospective Corps Members are advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 pm and pass the night at any available Corps Members’ Lodge, military formation, police station or outpost, or the palace of a traditional ruler anywhere in the country, before continuing their journey the following morning,” the statement added.
