PSG Deserved To Reach UCL Semis – Van Dijk

Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk has offered a brutally honest assessment of the club’s UCL exit. He recently admitted that the Reds simply didn’t do enough to overcome Paris Saint-Germain, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he is finding the defeat difficult to process ahead of this weekend’s derby clash against Everton because Liverpool football club kept trying to breach PSG’s defence all night.

VVD added that while LFC’s exit was very disappointing, the French club deserved to go through.

His words, “That’s the bare minimum, isn’t it?

It’s disappointing to be knocked out but PSG deserved to go through. Knocking on the door is not enough. I’m disappointed that we were knocked out, but that is the reality. I think PSG deserved to go through based on the two games.

We should be very disappointed at this stage. But a massive game awaits for us. We all know how big it is. It will obviously be a tough one but it is something to look forward to. But at this stage, I’m just not in a good place because we got knocked out of the Champions League.

I think we could all see that it didn’t look well and didn’t look good. Let’s wait and see what it will be. But we could all see it didn’t look good.”
