Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State on Sunday declined to address journalists after appearing before the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship screening committee at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge in Abuja.
After the screening exercise, Fubara was seen leaving the venue while journalists sought his reaction to the process.
The governor, however, refused to comment, responding briefly: “No comment.”

InfoStride News recalls that the Rivers governor had earlier arrived at the Plateau State Government House Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, for the screening of incumbent governors seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fubara appeared before the APC Governorship Screening Committee chaired by the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
