My Players Will Celebrate With Manchester City’s Women Team – Pep Guardiola

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that his players were denied even a single beer to celebrate their FA Cup triumph. This comes despite clinching their second trophy of the season by beating Chelsea at Wembley, and fans have been reacting.

Stressing the need for total focus as the Premier League title race enters its decisive week, Pep noted that there will be lots of time to celebrate in the coming weeks.

Guardiola added that a parade has already been arranged in Manchester to celebrate alongside City’s women’s team.

His words, “Home. Not even one beer. No, no, no – not have time [to celebrate]. Chelsea had seven days to prepare for the final; we had three days, and yesterday was a nightmare. We spent literally six hours from the city to here. The trains are a little bit of a problem in this country. Six hours!

Next Monday after Aston Villa, we’re going to celebrate it with the women’s team. The club said that to me [with] some parade in Manchester because we must celebrate with both teams.”

Pep Guardiola Sala is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who is currently managing Premier League club Manchester City. Guardiola is the only manager to win the continental treble twice, the youngest to win the UEFA Champions League, and he also holds the records for the most consecutive league games won in La Liga, the Bundesliga, and the Premier League. He is considered to be one of the greatest managers of all time.

Guardiola has played for and advocated on behalf of the Catalonia football team. Between 1995 and 2005, he played seven friendly games for Catalonia.

Under Guardiola’s predecessor Frank Rijkaard, Barcelona were known for a 4–3–3 with plenty of flair with Ronaldinho being the centre point of the attack. Under Guardiola, however, the team became more disciplined with a greater focus on possession and a disciplined and aggressive pressing style.
