The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced the guidelines for the conduct of its 2026 presidential primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party disclosed this in a statement issued late Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the APC also constituted the Presidential Primary Election Committee and the Presidential Primary Appeal Committee, alongside the appointment of state coordinators and collation officers for the exercise.

Morka stated that the decisions were approved by the party’s National Working Committee, NWC, in line with the APC constitution, the Electoral Act, and the party’s commitment to conducting a transparent and credible primary election process.
He explained that the guidelines are aimed at ensuring orderliness, fairness, and compliance with established democratic procedures during the presidential primary election.
The APC spokesman added that the committees would oversee the conduct of the exercise and address any disputes arising from the process in accordance with the party’s rules and regulations.
