Popular rapper CDQ has said that success in the music industry often depends on joining a cult. He recently revealed that artists have to become a member of a gang to blow up, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking during an interview on Jbrandy Entertainment, the lyricist shared that independent artists without such affiliations usually struggle to get returns on their investments.

CDQ added that the Nigerian music industry has turned into a sector where caucus determines success, not talent.
His words, “The hardest truth about the music industry is that it has turned into a place where you have to belong to a particular caucus, gang, or cult before anyone can help you.
If you are able to succeed as an independent artist without any of that, then you should thank God for it. If you don’t belong to any group or gang, you might end up spending a lot without seeing any return.”
WOW.
