The vice presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, at his residence in Abuja.
Melaye disclosed the visit in a post on his X handle, sharing a photograph of the meeting.
He wrote: “Governor Rotimi Amaechi on a courtesy visit to SDM today. Arise and Shine.”

Details of the meeting were not disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
Amaechi was recently named the running mate to the ADC’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He emerged as the party’s vice presidential candidate after finishing second in the ADC presidential primary, which produced Atiku as the party’s flagbearer.
Following the primary, Amaechi and the third-placed aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, alleged irregularities in the conduct of the election that produced Atiku.
In the aftermath of the contest, Atiku held separate meetings with Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen, urging them to work with him as the ADC prepares for the 2027 presidential election.
