Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has said that he does not regret choosing to represent the Atlas Lions at senior level ahead of France. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking despite Les Bleus’ 2-0 victory in Thursday’s World Cup quarterfinal, Bouaddi stated that he remains fully confident in his decision to commit his international future to Morocco, rather than the land of his birth.

The youngster added that he is very proud of how he and his teammates performed at the 2026 World Cup.
His words, “There’s absolutely no regret at having chosen Morocco. I always said that it was a choice from the heart, and I’m very proud to represent Morocco, regardless of what happens.
The most important thing now is that we know — the players, the staff, everyone — that whatever happens, we’ll always give everything for the shirt.
We’re proud, although we’d hoped to make as proud as possible the Moroccan people. For the future competitions, we’ll know what we still have to improve to go as far as possible.
We’ll keep working and improving what we do.”
