Why I Pulled My Fake Wedding Stunt – Geh Geh

Popular content creator GehGeh has revealed that his viral wedding clips were not real. He recently had his say during an interview with Saturday Beats, and fans have been reacting.

Announcing that the viral videos of him in traditional wedding attire with a woman were promotional content tied to a movie project, he declared that it was not a real marriage.

Geh Geh added that the goal was to get Nigerians talking online, and the plan ended up working perfectly.

His words, “It was all content for visibility for the movie I was working on.

Every content creator knows there are different strategies you can use to generate discussions and make your work trend. That’s the approach I used. The goal was to get people talking, and it worked.

My advice has never been that people shouldn’t get married. What I always tell people is to be careful, especially when it comes to their finances.

Use your sense when you’re with a woman. Marriage itself is not the problem; you just have to be wise.

Marriage is a good thing. It’s not something I would hide or do behind closed doors. If I decide today that I want to get married, do you know how many sponsors I would get?

It’s not as if anyone caught me getting married secretly. We posted the wedding video ourselves because it was part of the promotion.

I’m very comfortable. I can feed myself, take care of my children and meet my responsibilities.

So when I eventually decide to get married, it will be real, not for fame or publicity.

I get lots of press and interview requests now. At the end of the day, it’s social media.

Content is supposed to spark conversations, whether they’re good or bad. Once people are talking about it, it has done its job.”
