Most atrocities committed by Nwifuru’s aides – PDP chieftain

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, Chief Chinedu Nwobo, has accused aides of Governor Francis Nwifuru of being responsible for most of the alleged atrocities and abuses recorded under the present administration.

Nwobo made the allegation while criticising the governor’s handling of political and administrative affairs in the state.

He claimed that some officials and political appointees close to the governor had allegedly engaged in actions capable of undermining good governance and violating the rights of residents.

The PDP chieftain urged the governor to exercise greater control over his appointees and ensure that those serving in his administration act within the limits of the law.

Nwobo also called for greater accountability from government officials, stressing that political office holders should be held responsible for their actions.

He maintained that the alleged conduct of some aides could damage the image of the state government and further deepen political tensions in Ebonyi.

The PDP chieftain urged residents and relevant authorities to speak out against alleged abuses and demand accountability from public officials.

He further called on the state government to investigate allegations against its appointees and take appropriate action where wrongdoing is established.
