Ideyi has emerged as the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Ebonyi South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The emergence followed the party’s nomination process, during which Ideyi secured the support of party delegates to represent the ADC in the senatorial contest.

The party described the development as part of its preparations to field credible candidates capable of challenging established political parties in the 2027 elections.
ADC leaders urged Ideyi to focus on grassroots mobilisation and engage with residents across the senatorial district ahead of the election.
The party also called on its members to remain united and work together to strengthen its chances at the polls.
Ideyi is expected to begin consultations with stakeholders and voters across Ebonyi South as the party intensifies its preparations for the election.
The ADC said its objective was to provide voters with credible alternatives and promote effective representation in the National Assembly.
The party urged residents to assess candidates based on their competence, integrity and ability to represent their interests.
The development comes amid growing political realignments across the country as political parties prepare for the 2027 general elections.
