Popular Afrobeats singer Fola has explained why he wore casual clothes during his UNILAG project defence. He recently had his say during a new edition of the I Said What I Said podcast, and fans have been reacting.
Clarifying that his outfit was not a deliberate choice to disregard the school’s expectations, the “Lost” crooner stated that he drove straight from the airport to school after he arrived in Nigeria from Canada.

Fola added that he did not bother to change his clothes because he was determined to complete his academic responsibility without delay.
His words, “That viral picture of me defending my project in mufti was taken right after I landed from Canada. I drove straight to school from the airport because I wanted to do the defense myself.
I showed my lecturer my flight ticket, and he allowed me to do the defense.”
