Popular Nigerian Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has recorded a major milestone in his music career. His official YouTube channel recently surpassed one billion views, making him the first African gospel artist to achieve that feat.
As of November 2, 2026, statistics on his YouTube channel, Nathaniel Bassey Main, showed that it had accumulated over 1.014 billion views and attracted more than 5.24 million subscribers.
The achievement marks another significant moment for the gospel minister, whose YouTube journey began in 2011.
The milestone coincides with the October 2026 edition of the Hallelujah Challenge, a popular online prayer and worship movement founded by Bassey in 2017.
