The traditional ruler of Azumini Ndoki in Ukwa East LGA of Abia State, Eze Edward Ebere Eule, has been suspended from office by the Abia State government for alleged misconduct.
The suspension comes amidst orders for him to immediately render an account of N8 million in community electricity funds allegedly deposited in a bank account.
The royal father’s suspension for 30 days follows recommendations from the Board of Inquiry set up by the Abia State government to investigate alleged misconduct by some traditional rulers in the state.

In a press release signed by Abia State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Uzor Nwachukwu, the government stated that the monarch would remain suspended from office until he complies with the Board of Inquiry’s recommendations within the stipulated 30-day period.
The Board of Inquiry also directed the monarch to immediately revoke the dissolution of unions, associations, or organizations which he allegedly carried out without due process.
This development follows the removal of the traditional ruler of Ibom Isii in Arochukwu LGA, Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu, in January 2024, by the State government based on similar recommendations from the Board of Inquiry.
Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu was removed from office over allegations of misconduct.
