Popular Bollywood legend Aamir Khan has said that action movies are killing Indian cinema. He recently revealed that every big Bollywood actor is focused on shooting only action films nowadays.
Speaking during an interview with Think School, Aamir shared that Indian cinema has a history that is too rich to be watered down with excessive action content.

Emphasising that there are still so many intriguing storylines waiting to be explored, he stated that Bollywood producers owe it to legendary filmmakers like Bimal Roy, V. Shantaram and Satayjit Ray to make meaningful movies.
The “3 Idiots” actor concluded by saying that action and horror movies will continue to kill Indian cinema if filmmakers refuse to see the bigger picture on time.
“Do you want our Indian cinema to meet this fate?
We have such a rich history of makers like Bimal Roy, V. Shantaram, Satayjit Ray, Manmohan Desai, Raj Kapoor, Nasir Hussain, what will we answer to them?
That we let our films die because we only watched action or horror movies? Then you cannot make a Basu Chatterjee movie? Can’t we make movies like them anymore?” he said.
While some users agree with Aamir’s stance, some of them called him out for also shooting action movies like “Dhoom 3” and “Thugs Of Hindostan.”
