The Adamawa State Police Command has taken custody of a missing child, a little girl identified as Aisha Hassan, believed to be about four years old.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, the child was found and is currently under police protection.
The girl, who identified herself as Aisha Hassan, mentioned her mother’s name as Maryam, and said she has two brothers named Alkasim and Khalifa. She also mentioned an aunty named Khadija.
SP Nguroje appealed to members of the public who may have information about the child’s family to come forward and assist the police in reuniting her with her relatives.
He urged anyone with relevant information to report to the Doubeli Divisional Police Headquarters in Jimeta, located in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
