The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to clarify his recent remark that “all is fair in politics.”
The opposition party expressed concern over the statement, urging the President to explain what he meant by the comment.

The ADC said political competition should be guided by democratic principles, accountability and respect for the rule of law.
The party warned that interpreting the remark to mean that political actors could deploy any means necessary to achieve their objectives could undermine Nigeria’s democratic process.
It called on Tinubu to provide clarification to Nigerians, particularly as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC also urged political parties and their supporters to conduct their activities peacefully and respect the rights of other political actors.
The party maintained that the 2027 election should be based on issues, policies and the choices of Nigerians rather than tactics capable of undermining the democratic process.
