The African Democratic Congress, ADC, says it has registered 553,751 members across the 23 local government areas of Benue State, less than three months after its formal launch in the state.
The figure was announced on Monday, October 27, during a meeting of the ADC State Executive Committee and local government chairmen held at the party’s state secretariat in Makurdi.
The meeting reviewed the party’s grassroots mobilisation and ongoing membership registration exercise, which leaders described as a sign of growing acceptance across the state.

Addressing stakeholders, the State Chairman, High Chief Terngu Tsegba, commended ward, LGA, and state officials for their efforts in mobilising residents in both urban and rural communities.
He described the turnout as “overwhelming,” attributing the surge in support to what he called the party’s commitment to fairness, equality, and transparency.
“The ADC is a party for all Nigerians, built on equality, fairness and transparency in all its processes,” Tsegba said, urging local committees to remain focused and inclusive.
Also in attendance were State Secretary Samson Okwu; Publicity Secretary Stevie Ayua; Prof. Cletus Tyoikyaa; Abeije Egwa; Elizabeth Allagh; Ato Agber; and all 23 local government committee chairmen.
