ADC Rejects Reported Tinubu Endorsement by Islamic Scholars in Jigawa

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has rejected the reported endorsement of President Bola Tinubu by 500 Islamic scholars in Jigawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The opposition party questioned the significance of the endorsement, saying it did not reflect the views or interests of all Nigerians.

The ADC maintained that political support should be based on the performance of political leaders and their ability to address the challenges confronting citizens.

The party urged Nigerians to critically assess the records of the Tinubu administration before making decisions about the 2027 election.

It also called on religious leaders to remain focused on their spiritual responsibilities and avoid actions that could create political divisions within society.

The ADC said Nigerians, rather than groups or individuals, would ultimately determine the outcome of the 2027 presidential election through their votes.

The party’s reaction comes amid increasing endorsements and political alignments as parties intensify their preparations for the 2027 general elections.
