The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Kogi State has issued a stern warning to Senator Dino Melaye, asking him to desist from parading himself as a member of the party.
The party’s State Public Relations Officer, Tayo John, made this known on Friday in Lokoja, insisting that Melaye has no affiliation with the ADC in the state.
John accused the former lawmaker of repeatedly interfering in the party’s affairs and launching unwarranted attacks on its leadership.

He maintained that the ADC’s state executives operate independently and have no alliance or merger with what he described as “marauders” like Melaye, who allegedly claim membership without verification.
“Let me state unequivocally that Dino Melaye is not a member of ADC in Kogi State. He is not known in his ward as a member of our party,” John said.
“Therefore, he has no identity in our party and cannot speak in the interest of ADC in Kogi State.”
The spokesman dismissed Melaye as a “social media content creator” whose actions, he alleged, are driven by attention seeking and do not reflect the ideals of the party.
He further described Melaye as an impostor with no recognized role in the ADC, stressing that the former senator lacks the authority to comment on or influence the party’s leadership structure.
