Adeleke congratulates Tinubu on Supreme Court victory

In light of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold President Bola Tinubu’s election, Governor Ademola Adeleke has sent his congratulations to Tinubu and stated that now is the time for Nigerians to come together.

InfoStride News is here to remind you that on Thursday, the country’s highest court rejected the appeals of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and the parties’ respective presidential candidates in the most recent election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi.

The two individuals had contested President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the election that took place on February 25 and attempted to overturn the declaration that was made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Supreme Court, on the other hand, decided against hearing the appeal and held that at this level of the proceedings, additional evidence could not be presented.

In a letter of congratulations that was distributed in Osogbo by his spokesperson Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke stated, “Our judicial system has once again proven itself in its ability to handle disputes that arise from our elections.”

Adeleke stated that the resolution of the questions that surrounded the 2023 presidential election will bring about focus in addressing the various challenges that Nigeria is currently facing. He made this statement while pointing out that the verdict of the apex court on disputes about the 2023 presidential election was definitive.

He lauded the leading candidate of the opposition party in the election for contributing to the development of the electoral legislation of the country by bringing their objections before the legal system.

“On behalf of the good people of Osun State, I would like to extend my congratulations to President Tinubu on his victory at the highest court in the land,” I said.

“It is my hope that your administration will bring progress, unity, and prosperity to our nation, and I want to reaffirm my commitment to partner with you in providing good governance for our people,” he added. “I want to restate my commitment to partner with you in offering good governance for our people.”
