Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun State, has issued a warning to members of the Osun State Chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, to stop stockpiling Premium Motor Spirit.
The Governor issued the warning during a polite visit from the IPMAN leadership, and he stressed that his administration will never stand for IPMAN members putting State inhabitants through undue hardship to obtain the commodity.
Adeleke emphasized IPMAN’s significance, saying that the price of gasoline has a direct bearing on the state of the economy.

The Governor told them that he would continue to include them in policy making while committing to meet with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to facilitate the process of reviving the dormant Ibadan petroleum depot.
I promise IPMAN that I will investigate their laundry list of demands and help them as best I can.
He remarked, “I will speak with Governor Seyi Makinde in order to facilitate the process of reviving the dormant Ibadan depot.”
IPMAN Chairman Dr. Bukola Mutiu had earlier pleaded with the State Government for help in revitalizing the Ibadan petroleum depot, which provided services to both Osun and Oyo States.
Mutiu argued the government should fix it so that people wouldn’t have to go as far to get gasoline.
The Chairman also asked for the government’s help in ensuring a stable supply of electricity and providing more buses for the association’s usage in order to better monitor and travel its members around the country.
But Mutiu encouraged the government to provide them a harmonised bill, pledging they would support the current administration by paying their taxes and levies on time.
