Morocco captain Ashraf Hakimi has reacted to the decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to strip Senegal of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and award it to Morocco. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Emphasizing that the circumstances involved change nothing, the PSG defender noted that he and his fellow Moroccans are happy with CAF’s decision
Hakimi added that winning the AFCON trophy is something he and his teammates have been anticipating for such a long time.
His words, “Even if we had to win the Africa Cup of Nations this way, we accept it… We are very happy… I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time.”
